Heist Manotick

A very welcoming place with modern decor and a classy feel. Service is prompt and attentive, although more training on menu is suggested. I had the tuna tartare for an app and it was fantastic. Great presentation. Then I had the filet mignon and it was very delicious and cooked right ( my friends was not), it would be hard for me to justify the price $50+). To be honest I left hungry. But I would go back.

We recently visited Heist, the new fine dining spot in Manotick, and it was definitely a memorable evening. The first impression walking in was how stunning the interior is—modern, elegant, and inviting. The energy in the restaurant was vibrant yet sophisticated, with just the right balance of good vibes and a refined dining atmosphere. Perfect for a night out with friends or a special occasion. Our group ordered quite a bit from the menu and overall, the food was very good. The standout of the night was definitely the lamb, which earned compliments all around the table. Everything came out within a reasonable time frame, which was appreciated given how much we ordered. One surprise was the sushi platter—it’s served in a “do it yourself” style. We weren’t expecting that, so it caught us off guard, but it’s a fun concept worth trying if you enjoy assembling your own bites. This is the one area that could use some improvement. While the servers were polite, it was almost impossible at times to find ours when we wanted to reorder drinks. Anytime we asked another server, we were told they’d “find our server,” but no one seemed particularly eager to help outside of their assigned tables. It left us feeling a bit overlooked at times, which was disappointing given the otherwise elevated experience. Hopefully, this is just early opening hiccups as the team finds their rhythm. Heist has all the makings of being one of Manotick’s go-to fine dining destinations—beautiful space, great energy, and good food (the lamb is a must!). With some refinements in service, it could truly be an exceptional experience from start to finish.

The shrimp is the best dish of the whole place. It's big and the seasoning is delicious. You can give it a try. I think both kids and adults will like it. The seasoning is sweet with a little bit of yellow mustard sauce. It's just my favorite taste. I will definitely go back to this restaurant. I want to try other flavors. It's really a great place for taking photos. The lighting is also very good. We went there on the weekend and made a reservation in advance. There were many seats available, so you can go there with peace of mind.

I only been here about 4-5 times but each time it has exceeded my expectations when it comes to hospitality. The decor and ambience is top notch. Food is phenomenal and service is always consistently good. Be nice if they opened later for those who don’t want to drive downtown for the late nightlife.

Another visit Jan 25/2026 Atmosphere still beautiful, food and service top notch. Beautiful interior, 7 ladies went to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed. Emma was our server, she was so sweet and attentive, giving us time to chat but checking on us throughout the entire evening to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying ourselves. Now the food, twisted hummus, the addition of the crispy chickpeas gave a nice texture but still, hummus and store bought little pitas, meh… Tuna was amazing, lightly seared and the crema was light and flavourful. Bang bang shrimp was a hit, the shrimp was cooked to perfection, lightly battered with a delicious glaze, my favourite appetizer of the night. The crispy cauliflower had an airy tempura batter served with a delicate delicious aioli, yummm. My main was an 8oz flat iron steak with goat cheese salad. Wow, what a treat, the steak was so tender and well seasoned, the salad was light, sweet, and crunchy, the dressing was creamy and rich, the perfect side, I ate every morsel. What a great evening, I can’t wait to go back!

Great food and atmosphere and service. Loved their decoration. They also give such a wonderful vibe into the area that they located in. Also I loved their kid/baby friendly set up inside the family washroom.

What a beautiful spot decorated by the owner. Each end of the restaurant welcomes a different feel. Two outside patio with a busy road feel and a more private feel on the side. Service was excellent! Drinks were beautifully presented and the taste was unique and fresh. Highly recommend the lavender. The French onion soup was perfection as was the lettuce chicken wraps. Everything was fresh tasting, spiced perfectly and came to the table warm. Highly recommend a visit if in the Manotick village.

Mostly great food, cool aesthetics, mostly decent service. Here is what I liked about the restaurant. The interior is very well designed, both the main indoor floor and the patio. It looks very fresh and nice. The service is mostly great. Some of the items on the menu are super delicious. My kids really loved the Edamame and the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizers. They also loved the Salmon Sushi and Crispy Chicken Pieces. Oh, and the lavender cocktail my wife ordered was simply wonderful. On the things to work for, the Heist Burger I ordered was a disappointment. It was mediocre at best which was strange because burgers are not that hard to do well. And the fries it came with - they tasted like damp paper. So, my food order was not okay. Also, the beer they have is really overpriced. I would return to Heist but I wouldn’t order their burgers or fries.
